Print-ED Exhibition
Taiwan National Science and Technology Museum
September 2025
This September, Print-ED Taiwan brought student creativity to life at the National Science and Technology Museum in Kaohsiung. The exhibition showcased 3D-printed projects designed by Indigenous and rural elementary school students, blending cultural traditions with new technology.
At the opening ceremony, we welcomed teachers, students, families, and community partners to celebrate the culmination of weeks of classes and collaboration.
The opening ceremony featured performances from Padan Asang students of the Bunun tribe and gave students from both partner schools the chance to present and explain their 3D-printed projects.
Exhibited Works
The exhibition featured student projects that combined technical skills with cultural imagination. Students designed and printed windmills, mirrors etched with tribal and Hakka designs, and hooks that taught lessons in iterative design. They also created yìnzhāng (印章), traditional name stamps, and experimented with spinning tops, blending play with engineering principles.
